I'm an artist, writer, photographer, etc., presently working on a book and documentary about an annual Italian festival held in Shenandoah, PA. and another photo book about Asbury Park, NJ. The photo at the right is from the Asbury series.
Documenting the vestiges of the past in the present seems to be my current interest. Asbury Park is experiencing some growing pains as developers try to reinvent the boardwalk and downtown. Similarly, the ethnic festivals of PA's Coal Region are dying out and I would like to see both documented.
I work part time in Jersey and shoot in Asbury when I'm there. The rest of the time I live in PA and document events there when I can. Last summer I shot still photography at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival and this year I hope to return with video camera and perhaps a small crew.
